Portland West no longer operates a day care center.

Youth and Family Outreach  operates a child care facility at the same location on Danforth Street.  October 1, 2008 marked the grand opening.  The program  offers a large space for 20 preschoolers (2.5 years – school age eligible) with three qualified primary teaching staff and one foster grandfather.  There will also be an infant program with 8 infants (6 weeks – 18 months) and a toddler program with 10 toddlers (18 months – 2.5 years).  These classrooms will each have two qualified primary teaching staff and the infant program will have a foster grandmother.
