Trout in the Classroom Project

The staff and students at the Community Learning Center are working with the Portland Water District to raise trout from eggs to fry. Over the course of this project students will monitor and manage water quality in the tank, study trout anatomy, lifecycle and habitat, learn about watersheds and water quality and gain a sense of environmental stewardship. This program will support learning in disciplines such as science, social studies, math and government. Stop by during our learning center hours to see this project in action!
